Hello Everyone and welcome back to my channel! Today’s recipe is everyones’ family favorite, Arroz Con Gondules. If you ever need an idea for a dish to bring to any family event, or potluck then this is the perfect choice. This recipe is super simple, quick and delicious! -2 TBS oil
-1 onion diced
-1 cup of olives
-1 TB vegetable better than bullion
-1 packet of sazon w/ anato
-1 large cooking spoonful of Sofrito ( about 8-10 TB)
-1 can of gondules
-1 can of salsa de tomate
-4 Cups of water
-3 Cups of Long grain rice
In a pot on medium-high heat , add the oil and diced onions. Sauté until clear, add olives, vegetable bullion, sazon, sofrito, and the liquid from the gondules, bring to a light boil. Add salsa de tomate and stir, continue to boil for 2-3 minutes. Add 4 cups of waters and bring to a boil, then rinse and add your rice.
*if using long grain rice, add 1 full cup of water for each cup of rice, plus 1 extra cup of water*
Taste for salt, add more as needed. Mix, lower to medium heat or if using an electric stove set to 3. Set timer and cook for 20-25 minutes. Once timer is done, gently fluff the rice using a fork, then cover and reduce heat to low for additional 15 minutes.
